These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of AFH: Acronyms for Hilarity, operated by Acronyms For Hilarity, LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“AFH,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

ACCEPTANCE AND ELIGIBILITY

By accessing or using AFH, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 13 years old to use AFH. If you are not yet the age of legal majority where you live, you may use AFH only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

AFH PROFILES

You may claim one unique AFH Name to identify you in Daily AFH and public features. You are responsible for information submitted through your profile and for maintaining access to a protected profile. Do not impersonate another person, claim a misleading identity, or attempt to access another player’s profile.

Private-game nicknames may differ from your AFH Name. Changing your AFH Name may cause your prior name to become available to someone else, and you may not be able to reclaim it.

USING AFH

AFH includes private multiplayer rooms, Daily AFH submissions and voting, results, rankings, and related game features. Public matches and certain features may include clearly identified computer-controlled AFH Players or house-created responses.

Public games and Daily AFH are intended to be family-friendly. A private-room host may select a mature-language setting, but that setting does not permit content or behavior prohibited by these Terms.

YOUR CONTENT

You retain ownership of acronym responses, names, report details, and other content you submit. You give AFH a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve AFH and its game history, results, and rankings.

PLAYER CONDUCT

You may not use AFH to submit, promote, or engage in illegal activity, threats, harassment, bullying, hate, discrimination, violence, sexual exploitation, content involving minors, graphic sexual content, privacy violations, intellectual-property infringement, impersonation, cheating, vote manipulation, automated abuse, unauthorized access, interference with the service, or attempts to evade moderation or security controls.

Family-friendly areas may not contain profanity, sexual content, or other mature material.

MODERATION AND REPORTS

AFH may use automated filters and player reports to review content and behavior. We may remove content, exclude it from voting or results, restrict features, suspend access, preserve evidence, or take other reasonable action when we believe these Terms have been violated or safety is at risk.

Please use AFH’s in-app reporting tools for objectionable responses or behavior. Reports should be made in good faith. We do not guarantee that every report will result in removal or another specific action.

GAME RESULTS AND AUTOMATED CONTENT

Votes, scores, percentages, rankings, streaks, and titles are entertainment features. They may be corrected or removed if affected by errors, abuse, moderation, or rule changes and have no cash or property value.

AFH Wildcards and computer-controlled responses may be generated automatically. Automated content can occasionally be inaccurate, unexpected, or less relevant than intended. Please report inappropriate content.

AFH OWNERSHIP

AFH and its software, design, branding, logos, artwork, categories, and other materials—excluding player content—are owned by Acronyms For Hilarity, LLC or its licensors. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use AFH for its intended entertainment purposes.

SERVICE CHANGES AND TERMINATION

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features; correct errors; or limit access when reasonably necessary for maintenance, safety, legal compliance, or operation of AFH. You may stop using AFH at any time and may schedule profile deletion from AFH Profile in the app.

DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

AFH is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Acronyms For Hilarity, LLC disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Acronyms For Hilarity, LLC and its owners, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from AFH. Our total liability for claims relating to AFH will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid AFH during the 12 months before the claim.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by applicable United States law and the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live remain unaffected.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms as AFH changes. We will post the revised Terms with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required.
